Kelly German - response needed.

Please read this important information from the meet host:
Please note that there will be two changes to the meet format:
1. All relays are cancelled.
2. We are moving all the 8 and under swimmers from the afternoon session to the morning session.

The new timeline is as follow:

Friday Night:
4:30 - 5:20 p.m. warm-up for all 12 and under swimmers
5:30 p.m. start
6:45 - 7:10 p.m. warm-up for 13-14 swimmers
7:15 p.m. start
8:10 p.m. expected finish time

Saturday and Sunday Morning:
7:00 - 8:10 a.m. warm-up for Ultimate and 8&Under Premier swimmers
8:15 a.m. start

Saturday and Sunday Afternoon:
Noon - 1:00 p.m. warm-up for 9&Over Premier swimmers
1:05 p.m. start

Saturday and Sunday Finals:
5:30 - 6:20 p.m. warm-up for Ultimate swimmers
6:30 p.m. start
8:10 p.m. expected finish time

We understand that some 8 and under swimmers might have signed up for the meet expecting to compete in the afternoon sessions and that they might not be available to take part in the morning sessions.  Please let Coach Laurie know the name of such swimmers by Wednesday, January 9, and we will refund their entry fees.  We  (Worthington) will also accept updated entry times until the same date, Thursday January 10, but there will be no new entries or change of events. We will make an exception for swimmers who need to be moved up from Premier to Ultimate!

For the meet to run smoothly, it will be critical for:
- all swimmers be familiar with flyover starts (which will be used for ALL sessions),
- swimmers who are finished with their events to leave the pool promptly,
- swimmers to keep the deck, stands and the Championship Hall as clean as possible,
- only parents are allowed to sit in the stands on the East side of the pool,
- only swimmers are allowed in the Championship Hall on the West side of the pool.

We will run a bullpen for the 8 and under swimmers only.  We will NOT run a bullpen for the afternoon sessions.

Extra T-Shirts

The Pollock Family has donated about 60 t-shirts sporting the new team logo to our Booster Club. The shirts come in a variety of colors and sizes. Each family will have their chance to pick ONE shirt on Monday or Tuesday at practice. On Wednesday, any shirts remaining will be available to anyone. A donation to the booster club for your shirt is optional. The kids are now receiving their team t-shirts that were made exclusively for kids and coaches. Kast-A-Way has not yet printed our red t-shirts, if you would like to order one I suggest you call today. These shirts are being printed on a light weight t-shirt from Sport Tek.

Coach of the Year

Dear Coach, Hope this email finds you well and enjoying the summer. We are writing today on behalf of the upcoming feature film COACH OF THE YEAR: an independent, kid-friendly sports comedy feature film based on the inspiring true story of a rag tag swim team that tries to win a state championship…without a pool to practice in. Director Dave Stott, who has coached swimming for twenty years, hopes that with this film, we will entertain and inspire kids all over the country to learn to swim. Another goal of this film is to raise awareness about drowning as the leading cause of accidental deaths and to help kids all over the country learn to swim safely. The underdog story has been told before, but not for our sport. This is a movie for swimmers (and would-be swimmers), made by people who know the sport intimately and love it passionately, and we’d love for you to be involved. We wanted to ask you and your team to help spread the word about COACH OF THE YEAR, and get you & you

Finalists!
