Thanks to everyone that has either paid their winter fees or has managed to track me down to set up monthly fees.  If you haven't been able to find me, I have uploaded a monthly fee authorization form that you can fill out at your convenience and bring to the next practice.  These can be given to any of our coaches. The raffle tickets are in for our season long fundraiser!  Tickets are $10 each.  Please stop by to see either Ron or Laurie Sallows at practice to get your set of tickets to sell.  $8 from each ticket will go towards your $300 required fundraising.

We will have order forms and samples for sizes available today at Columbus North.  We will also have them on Sunday at MC Fitness!  We are really excited about the new things we are offering so please be sure to stop by and check them out!

Attention Buckeye swimmers!!  Looking for a fun night out with the Columbus Crew and your favorite swim team!!  We have an opportunity to get tickets for the upcoming Crew game  Saturday October 1st. This is their last home game of the season! Lower sidelines tickets are $31 and upper sidelines are $ 29* If we have 50 tickets sold  we could reserve the south end party pavilion for $32 a ticket. Free Shredding Day Join us at MC Fitness & Health on Sunday, September 11 for a free shredding day. It’s a great, safe chance to dispose of personal documents and electronics you no longer need or want, protect yourself against identity theft and fraud, and declutter your home and your life. Unwanted documents may be brought in in either bags or boxes. All types of paper will be accepted, and staples, paper clips, rubber bands and binders do NOT need to be removed. Electronics will be accepted as well, although cathode ray monitors or televisions will NOT. Items may be dropped off between 1:00 and 4:00 p.m. At the end of the event, Royal Document Destruction will transport the documents to their plant in secure containers in the back of their locked truck. All of their trucks are monitored with a GPS system so they can track their movements at all times. Just a few reminders when practicing at MC Fitness: All swimmers must have a parent or guardian sign a use waiver before their first practice.  Allow 15 minutes for this. Swimmers should wait in the lobby until a  coach arrives.  At no time should a swimmer be on the pool deck without supervision.  Please try to arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of practice. Parents are welcome to watch practice from the top row of the bleachers.  MC Fitness is very strict about our interaction with non USA Swimming members during practice time.  (This is actually due to USA Swimming insurance guidelines).  Once the kids are in the water, parents cannot speak to swimmers or coaches and must either be in the bleachers or wait in the lobby. Swimmers are not permitted to use member locker rooms or towels.  Even swimmers whose parents are members.  When our swimmers arrive to use the facility for Buckeye, they must behave as if they are a guest of the fa...

Juniors and Seniors will be on a modified schedule for September 5th and 6th. Monday, September 5th:  8-10 a.m. (swim only) - Labor Day Tuesday, September 6th:  4-5:30 p.m. (swim only) - please pick up your swimmers at 5:30 so Coach Lew can head to MC Fitness to run Scarlet practice.  Seniors who wish to stay for dry-land may do so on their own. The remainder of the week's practices will be at regularly scheduled times for Junior and Senior.

The long awaited first day of practice is just around the corner!! Our first Scarlet Practice is Tuesday, September 6 at MC Fitness.  Coach Lew will be running Scarlet practice from 6:30-7:30 on this first day.  Coach Laurie is off on vacation to celebrate her 25th wedding anniversary with Rick. Our first Silver Columbus practice is Wednesday, Sept. 7 with Coach Lew. Silver MC starts their first practice on Thursday, Sept. 8 at MC Fitness with Coaches Jenn & Jessica. If you ordered anything at registration you will be able to pick those items up at practice on September 11. Next week Coach Jenn will have Weds Scarlet practice and Thursday Silver MC.  Lew will take the Thursday Scarlet practice.  Coach Jessica Ward will also start her first day with us at Thursday Silver practice!  Be sure to welcome Coach Jessica to the Buckeye family!!

Hi, We have received a few questions about how to set up monthly payments.  We are in the process of getting everyone's accounts set up on QuickBooks. We will use Intuit Merchant Services to process all electronic payments (credit cards, echecks, etc.).  Once we do that you will simply need to swing by the end of a practice to get started.  We will have specific days available to do that beginning the week of September 12.

The Apparel Committee has been working hard on getting some new team apparel items ready to be ordered.  We anticipate having samples and order forms available during the first week of practice.  We will be offering short sleeve t-shirts, baseball style t-shirt, towels, flannel pajama bottoms and leggings in our fall sale.  We also plan on having another sale before the holidays and adding some more winter options such as hooded sweatshirts, knit hats, blankets, etc.

The Booster Club will be holding a fall meeting on Tuesday, September 6 at 6:30 P.M. at MC Fitness.  Please plan on attending if you would like to learn more about the Booster Club or team activities.

We are continuing to add content to the new website.  This week we have updated the practice schedule into our google calendars & have started to build the meet information blocks on our meet schedule page.  Please continue to let us know if there is a part of the website that isn't working that you would like to have functional!  We are also still looking for parents and swimmers to send us testimonials or reviews to include on our website.  Short and sweet is fine, or long and detailed.  We'll take anything that you feel comfortable sharing!

All swimmers should take a moment to check the state of their gear bag.  The following items are needed in your bag at practice: Kickboard Fins Pullbuoy (if under 110 pounds, purchase a junior pullbuoy) Mesh Bag to carry it in Seniors and Juniors also need a snorkel and sculling paddles DO NOT BUY at local retailers.  Little known fact  the Speedo product sold at retailers like Target and Dicks is recreation quality and not really suitable for swim team.
