Athlete Committee

LOOKING FOR ATHLETE COMMITTEE MEMBERS!

Get More Involved!

TEAM REPRESENTATIVES:  PLEASE FORWARD TO YOUR ATHLETES!

Dear OSI Athletes,

You can make a difference in Ohio Swimming by joining the
ATHLETE COMMITTEE
The OSI Athlete Leadership is looking for athletes who are enthusiastic about swimming and are willing to get involved on the 'dry' side of swimming.  Athletes who are 14-years old or over will play an important part in the functions of Ohio Swimming by helping make the sport better for every athlete in Ohio.
The more athlete participation we have, the bigger impact we can make!

BONUS:  You can earn community service hours as you volunteer your time on the Athlete Committee and other OSI committees.  It also looks good on your resume for college!
What does an Athlete Committee Member do?
  1. Interacts with athletes at swim events to find out what they would like improved or changed and what their issues/thoughts are on current issues in the sport.
  2. Attends meetings (via conference call) to the best of their ability (usually 1 meeting/month)
  3. Be the "VOICE" for the athletes in Ohio Swimming.
  4. Have the desire to get involved and make a difference in the sport.
  5. Be able to problem solve issues in a team setting.
  6. Be able to communicate to others (athletes, coaches, officials) in Ohio Swimming.
  7. Help plan events for Ohio Swimmers
  8. Have fun!

Swimmingly yours,

  1. This OSI Athlete Leadership opportunity sounds like a fantastic way for young swimmers to make a real difference in their sport beyond the pool. It's great that it also offers community service hours and boosts college applications. Meanwhile, I’m buried in prep and just wish someone could take my gre exam for me so I could focus on something this meaningful instead! For those who qualify, definitely jump in it’s a win for you and for Ohio swimming.

  3. Like any other sector where you need an instructor and direction for both academics and sport, this article is fantastic and offers beginner swimmers a great opportunity to make a significant difference in their sport outside of the pool. Students can also use this post to get Online assignment help for their academic path.

  4. Balancing lab reports with theory-heavy assignments this term was way harder than I expected going in. There was one week I nearly missed a submission entirely because I'd underestimated how long the mechanism diagrams would take to get right. Someone in my study group brought up UK Chemistry assignment assistance, though honestly what saved me more was finally sitting down with a classmate to work through the tricky reactions together.
